The 8am walk from the MRT to the office, then a lunch meeting across town, then drinks that were meant to be one round. The Balance Oxford handles all of it at 170g per shoe in size 37, which is roughly the weight of an apple and about half what a shoe like this usually weighs. The vegan suede microfibre upper is soft and flexible from the first wear, so there is no break-in stretch to sit through. It suits anyone who needs one pair to carry a full working day and whatever follows it.

I have been wearing Sunnysteps for a number of years. My first pair of Balance Runners made me a fan and I have bought numerous pairs since then ans they were comfy for my wide feet annd bunions. Lately, the shoes have narrower front annd I now have to buy size 40 instead of my usual size 39. Some designs now don’t fit me well due to the narrower front.
I bought this pair at the Ion outlet today and wore them immediately. They are comfortable but the quality of the soles is not up to par. I hope the company looks into this. It’s pointless having shoes with good quality leather/fabric uppers and bad quality soles. Though I may suffer from pronation, the extent of wear and tear on the sole after just two hours of window shopping in Orchard is not justifiable. The edges of the soles were a bit shredded. Very disappointed.
